Vision Board

This morning I am off to my friends home to start our Vision Boards. My friend Sue had been wanting to do this project but just not knowing where to start or how to go about it. I jumped at this request and am now off to her place with all the things needed for this.

  • Poster board
  • magazines (I had many Oprah mags)
  • scissors & glue sticks
  • paint & scrap booking supplies
  • great attitude

Go through all your magazines and pick some great words or images with which to go for your 2015 board, all the things in life you would desire for this year. I already have some cut out and abundance, joy, grateful & kitchen renovations stand out for me. I also had already painted my poster board with blue clouds and a big old yellow sun in the middle. Trying to be creative and looking good already!

Goddess Up®

This past weekend was spent @ a Goddess Up® Workshop that Sierra Bender was hosting in a town not far from my city. Empowerment is the name of the game and after this weekend I surely got it going! I attended her first workshop in 2013 Dec and I have never looked back since. In this past year I have rid myself of beliefs that did not serve me well.  My relationship with my family members which was rocky has now changed and more stable. In fact I was told by my dear Auntie how I have grown. Even though I am middle aged and close to sixty I take that as a cool compliment! I gained so much by my intuition getting stronger, more confident, focused, self esteem is at a all time high and what more could a person want.

There were about 32 of us ladies from all ages and we got right to work with the healing process. Lots of information to download, and take away for sure as well as the AHA moments and finally getting it. Until you are ready to receive it, it will not matter. I know this because I have walked this road and have had people tell me this and that and not understanding at the time. Lot’s of purging and the board breaking was inspiring! Everyone was on a roll with that one. But I walked in not knowing all of the lady’s and made friends with them by the time we were finished. Check her website out and you will see what I mean. http://www.sierrabender.com/method/ goddess_up-final-logo-02-1024x375

The Path

I set my GPS to a better life. At first I didn’t know how to work this machine as it didn’t come with directions. So with this challenge I tried to figure it out myself. The roadblocks I encountered should have gave me a clue but I kept hammering away thinking it will crumble and I can continue on. That was not meant to be. The GPS finally called it a day and wouldn’t work at all. Receiver was wonky & the voice navigation came in another language, some ancient dialect I wondered. I am sure it kept saying, You got it all wrong! So I decided to ask the universe for help and in that moment I was recharged with strength to get through the muck and joy to laugh it all off after it all was done. It took years and then some to wash the residue of my old life off, as it did not serve me well. With new directions tuned into that old GPS I found signs that said Empowerment, Change, Courage, Strength, Joy & Yes you can do it too!

And the voice navigation system worked like no other as it gave me terrific directions in a kind & gentle voice sending me to people who could assist me in my journey, my quest. My machine sends me to places of wonderment, those tall peaks that surpass the clouds, to animals that roam the countryside, to the sea to drink in the sight & the smells. I think this tool serves me well now~

Your Grounded!!

So the our bi-weekly psychic development class started off our new year with a 2 hour discussion about grounding and how important it is when you are doing your readings which we were doing of a person not present. I came away from this reading a bit more aware and learned a great deal. But I wanted to know more about grounding.

Spiritual Grounding  Through meditating, see in your minds eye a bright light from your center that goes through the earth to the core, send out roots to anchor you and then shoot back up through your body and up through your crown and spill out over your body to protect you.

Using Black Kyanite, Blue Kyanite, Black Tourmaline, Boji stone, Turquoise stone are but a few used for Crystal Grounding.

Physical activitysaging, which I personally do every morning so I have that covered and bathe with himalayan, sea or hawaiian salt. I also found that bathing would wash the residual after effects of a reading. I was the lucky one who was still feeling it when I got home that night.

Now here’s another little tidbit that I really love and that is chocolate is a great grounding tool as it grows in the earth and hence one is grounded. Hmmmm, may have to do this one on a regular basis..hahahahaha. Oh and lastly walking on the earth in your bare feet. All so simple and easy to do. You re-connect with Mother Earth, Gaia and become balanced and ready to take on the world or rather your little patch of the world.

Our teacher tells us to ground ourselves many times in the day as there is so much energy swirling around and we pick this up. And she also say’s to meditate, meditate, MEDITATE!

The birds had already "grounded" themselves..

Funny you would say that….

Is it just me or are strangers drawn to you? I find being out there in the world people are more wont to spark up a conversation with me. Must it be my smile? My approachable demeanor? And when they do spark up the conversation I gain a lot of information from them. I suppose I am a great listener too. Also being in the right place at the right time as in this story.

This past September I was walking towards a bookstore and there was a lady walking beside me and we started talking. We both remarked on how beautiful the fall day was and the conversation went from there to many other topics. One particular thing though was that she was volunteering her services as a Reiki Healer at a hospital here in our city & would I know how to find an Indian Elder? Who better to ask than me? I told this kind lady that our local Native Friendship Centre would be able to help her in her endeavours. A gift of tobacco when she met the Elder is what I also imparted to her for his knowledge.

She was very thankful, shook my hand and went on her way. I love these random vignettes in my life. If I can be of help to another soul than so be it.

Acts of Kindness

Watching “Pay it forward” now. Honestly this movie gets me every time..every single time. I know there are many of you out there that have done this simple act in our lifetime sometimes without evening knowing it. And I also know there are many that have done so and not mentioned it.

This morning I had heard from a friend on how she was leaving her New Year’s party sober, on her way home, driving down a secluded road and seen a small figure walking. She slowed her car down and seen that the figure was a girl, visibly upset, crying uncontrollably. My friend asked her if she wanted a ride and the girl got in and told her story. It seems that her “ride” had ditched her at a party and she had many miles to go, in fact it was clear across town. My friend took her right to her front door.

Compassion came to mind and I thought that maybe the girl had been praying for an angel and lucky for her that my friend came along. Sure she took a chance but it just didn’t seem right to drive past this person who obviously looked distressed when my friend said, “It felt right in my heart”

What a spectacular way to start the year 2015 with love, kindness & compassion for another person. I have a feeling the year is going to be a “Gooder”

Dreams can come true.

I wrote the following on the morning of July 20/05. I had also added that it was a full moon and I had noticed that I was more likely to have a visitation and recording it for future use…

So this morning I was having quite a time waking up because I had this really good dream. My father had passed away on February 23, 1986, and I was really missing him. The dream I was having was about dad & he was trying to give me something. It was big & bulky, red with straps. I looked at it & exclaimed to whoever was with me that he had given me an accordion. I was so happy. However I knew that I had to go (wake up) & I was so sad.

Now it’s about 1 hour later & I’m listening to CBC Radio on my way to work & the host is talking about an music festival he had gone to & that he had never heard that many accordions play so beautifully. I had been in a crappy mood, kind of sad & when I heard that I started to laugh. My father made my day!

So I know spiritually that he is with me day & night and I have had many other visits from him. I mean sure it would be nice to have him here by my side but this is what I have and I will take it any day! It gives me solace knowing I do not walk alone.52124c84bcd10db10d346090eb329c40

Presently Here

Good story that goes along with being present in time. My other half and I went to Honolulu this past spring and I had asked only one small thing beforehand from him. The man works long hours and as such his mind can travel to past & future thinking of all that needs to be done. I on the other hand wanted to be relaxed and not think of anything to do with my active life. This little voice popped into my head a few days before we were to take off on that big old plane and that is what it said…Present!

So my request was this. Just to be present, not to utter anything worrying thing in our mind and to enjoy the moment. We thoroughly enjoyed every sight we did see and the days flew by. It was idyllic! Last day there he turns to me and says, “I just have to say that I really did as you asked and I had a really great time and will remember all of this but I am so ready to get home!” I told him same and I said did you notice people driving around the city looked unhappy or maybe lost in thought would be better to say. I said that probably they were thinking of there bills or the packages to be delivered and what they had to do next or thinking of something that happened last night, yesterday, last year. Busy, busy, busy in there minds in paradise. I know being in the here and now really fills up your time so to speak. You get to drink in all the sights and sounds of the day. I can only tell you that we two had smiles plastered on our faces and were grateful for all that happened and the people we met and the food that we ate and that is because we were present!

Faces

10334455_683266788376788_273173251969449275_nOne early morning my other half & I had left our morning breakfast spot and had just received some not too great news & were trying to digest this. One of his family members was having life trouble and it was a quiet & very somber drive home. We both looked up and seen this image in the clouds and he quickly told me to snap a photo. My other half is a very reality driven person, he see’s black & white so I was surprised by his reaction. We both agreed there was a face in the cloud who resembled his father looking none to pleased. His father had passed from cancer 3 years previous. “Perhaps” I said, “He is here to support you concerning your daughter, but he doesn’t look to happy about it either” The other half also asked me to send it to his sister to get her reaction who also agreed that it looked like there dad.

The other half doesn’t say much to about stuff like this but accepts with what he can see. His sister on the other hand is like me and it gives her solace and faith and that my friends is a good thing.

Books, books and more…Books!

I was driving on my way to my morning workout listening to my audiotape of Sonia Choquette, a woman of wisdom. I hear her stories and suddenly will be hit with AHA moments and I truly love that! I was musing on how many books that I have on the go and will share with you what is sitting here on my bed. Having a library card has it’s benefits for sure so here it goes..

  • “Walking Home” by Sonia Choquette; an inspiring story about her “Camino de Santiago”, her daily happenings that go with that.I am half finished it and will probably be done by Christmas as it a good, no make that a great read!
  •  “Tune In” by Sonia Choquette, a New York best seller it say’s on the cover, about letting your intuition flow.I get it when she mentions the “Ebb & Flow of Life.” We flow in our daily lives loving no distractions, no bumps in the road and the ebb is the change as it surely does come along. So when the ebb does come we surrender and let it go and let it…flow! Here is where I would say, “Resistance is futile” but I digress.
  • “What If…” by Shirley Maclaine. The meanderings & thought processes of a gifted “Light” whose journey has taken her to the most awesome places and met the most awesome people on this planet An excerpt from her book; “What if we understood & harnessed the greatest creative forces of life? Our souls.” I love that!
  • “Trust Your Vibes” by Sonia Choquette.” Secret Tools for Six-Sensory Living. A audio book I have on the go in my vehicle as I go about my daily wanderings. Yet another gem from the lady herself and I love the lessons I take from this. The intuition awakens..no kidding!

So there is but a few of the treasures I have at my reach and now to get back to the book at hand…Helloooo Sonia!
